Household ledger

Where is your bill actually going?

Add what you own, set the hours, and see a ranked ledger priced at your rate. Reconcile with a real bill, then find which upgrades pay back first. Everything is stored in this browser — no account needed.

Rates use the EIA residential average for July 2026, or your own custom rate. See the method.

How the household estimate works

Each row is priced as watts × hours ÷ 1,000 × your rate, using the same cost engine as every calculator page. Low, typical and heavy draw show the range for each appliance rather than pretending every model is identical.

What the numbers are not

They are planning estimates, not billing figures. Utility tiers, time-of-use windows, taxes and fees can move the real total. Use the bill reconciliation card to see how much of your actual usage the ledger explains.
